The Rolando Reyes name is legendary in the cigar world. Rolando Reyes Sr. was born in Cuba and fled the island due to the Castro regime. He helped found the Honduran cigar industry utilizing his family knowledge of tobacco and cigar production. His brand Puros Indios was one of the best-selling cigars of the 90s Cigar Boom.Â
After his passing, the Puros Indios and Cuba Aliados brands sold to Oliva Cigar but Junior did not give up. With a desire to resurrect the Reyes family name, Rolando Reyes Jr. established a cigar factory in Slidell, Louisiana in 2026 and these cigars are the first of his production from the factory. The RCD House Sumatra Ecuador cigar come unbanded and evoke a smooth profile with complex notes like cedar and floral layers.
