Fuente Fuente OpusX Forbidden X El Trece Magistral 13
Some cigars you sell. Others you get to share with the few people who'll truly appreciate them. The El Trece Magistral 13 is the second kind.
It's part of the Forbidden X "El Trece" series, one of the hardest-to-find releases the Fuente family has ever put out under the OpusX name, and it's built from tobacco they don't let go of easily. Everything comes from Chateau de la Fuente in the Dominican Republic, where the family has spent decades doing what most people said couldn't be done: growing a world-class wrapper on Dominican soil.
At 6 7/8" x 56, the Magistral is a big, confident cigar, and it smokes like one. That signature OpusX rosado wrapper covers a well-aged Dominican binder and filler, and the result is full-bodied without being harsh. Expect dark spice and leather up front, toasted oak through the middle, and a quiet sweetness that keeps building the longer you stay with it. Give it time. It rewards patience.
Each cigar wears the Forbidden X band, and the limited-edition box carries the number 13 throughout, a nod to the series name and to the Fuente family's long history of doing things their own way.
We don't see many of these come through Habana Port, and when they do, they don't last. If you've been waiting for an OpusX worth marking an occasion with, this is the one.
