COO: Nicaragua
Wrapper: Connecticut Corojo
Drew Estate has a new event-only cigar, the Liga Privada H99 Connecticut Corojo Super Ancho.
As super ancho means super wide, it’s fitting that the cigar is a 6 x 60 gordo. It uses a wrapper grown by one farm in the Connecticut River Valley exclusively for Drew Estate, a leaf that is a hybrid derived from stalk-cut habano and Connecticut corojo. Underneath that is a Mexican San Andrés Otapan Último Corte binder and fillers from Honduras, Nicaragua and Pennsylvania, the latter of which is the infamous Green River One Sucker, known for its strength and potent flavor.
The company calls the profile of the Liga Privada H99 Connecticut Corojo “deceptively full-bodied with notes of earth, leather and espresso.”
