For the first time since the inaugural release, total production has been scaled back to 72,000 total cigars (2014 production level), which will make this year’s Las Calaveras edition arguably one of the most sought-after releases of 2020. The blend is a vibrant combination of Nicaraguan binder and filler tobaccos, finished with a gorgeous dark Colorado-brown Habano Oscuro wrapper. A total of 3,000 boxes (72,000 cigars) of Las Calaveras EL 2020 were produced at the My Father Cigars, S.A. factory, in Esteli, Nicaragua. An additional 2,000 cigars were produced to be included in the Las Calaveras EL 2020 Sampler. The sampler features one of each of the three EL 2020 vitolas, along with a sampler-exclusive 6 1/8” x 52 Torpedo. Each 24-count box of Las Calaveras is packaged with three rows of eight cigars. The three rows represent life’s cycle of a beginning, middle, and end. In biblical terms, the number ‘8’ signifies new beginnings, and in mathematical terms an ‘8’ laid on its side symbolizes “infinity,” as in eternal life. Coming July 2020.
