The story of Macanudo Emissary España begins in the fields outside Riolobos, Spain. The soil is hard and rocky, and the Mediterranean climate brings warm, dry days and mild nights to the region. While this area is renowned for its olive trees and pepper fields, the conditions near Riolobos are also suited to tobacco cultivation. The resulting yield produces a thick, oily tobacco leaf with a signature intensity and complexity. This Havana-seed, Spanish-grown tobacco rests at the heart of every Macanudo Emissary España.

The Spanish tobacco, in particular, was aged for ten years — the optimal time to mellow and mature the tobacco. And each tobacco was carefully curated to create an elegant, exceptionally well-constructed cigar.
The result is a nuanced smoking experience characterized by notes of toasted cedar, almonds, and caramel.
